Malahide Township Flag

The White Background represents Ontario's Flower the Trillium, the Border Outlined in Green, represents Agriculture, and the actual Land Mass (shape), the former Township of Malahide.  The Castle is Malahide Castle, after which our Township was named by Colonel Thomas Talbot who was born there on the 17th of July, 1771, County Dublin, Ireland.  The Castle was built in 1185, and the Talbot Family lived there until 1976 (791 years).

The flag was designed by Andy Van Kasteren, Mayor of Malahide, January 1998 to November 2000.
