The Elgin Area Primary Water Supply System (EAPWSS) has issued a taste and odour advisory, which has been shared with all municipalities that receive water from the Elgin Area Water Treatment Plant.

Currently, the Township of Malahide has not received any complaints regarding taste or odour issues in the Malahide Water Distribution System. However, some neighbouring municipalities that also receive water from the Elgin Area Water Treatment Plant have reported such concerns.
