The Ontario Ombudsman is an objective office of last resort for members of the public looking to bring forward an unresolved complaint. Acting independent of Town Council, the Ontario Ombudsman will receive, review and investigate complaints, provide periodic updates and produce an annual report of activities.

Aird & Berlis LLP also performs Ombudsman Services for the Township. The Ombudsman reports directly to Council and can investigate, independently, complaints about any decision or recommendation made or act done or omitted in the course of the administration of the municipality, its local boards and such municipally-controlled corporations as the municipality may specify.
