The Ontario government is committing $451,796 to renew and rehabilitate vital infrastructure in Malahide. This funding, which will be provided in 2025 through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF), is part of the province’s broader $190 billion capital plan aimed at enhancing housing, highways, hospitals, transit, and high-speed internet. In 2025, Ontario will also allocate $400 million in OCIF funding to support 423 small, rural, and northern communities in developing roads, bridges, and water and wastewater systems. Communities will have the option to accumulate funding over five years for larger infrastructure projects.
